Baby Shower Hosts!

Me and the lovely hosts of our amazing baby shower! We shared amazing food and
Kieran and I collected advice and stories from everyone. Heard about everything
from how to cure every ailment with honey to what not give as a birthday gift.
Our baby's rooms is certainly looking amazing from all of the fantastic gifts, we have globes hanging from the ceiling, beautiful baby seats, a organized closet (!), and the ever-important Minnesota Twins onesie. The baby will certainly know that it is loved.

Grandparents!

Here we are already at Week 33, spending a bit of time with
the almost-grandparents. We missed Patrick Crowley but
enjoyed catching up and introducing everyone to baby's quirks.

Visit from Roberta!

Our good friend, Roberta came to visit from Portland this week.
She seemed fully prepared for her soon-to-be job of 'auntie' as she
tried to comfort the baby through lots of hiccups.

From Basketball to Globe!

We have officially graduated from basketball size to globe, at least according to the size experts myself and Kieran. We're at Week 31, so have about two months to go. Things are getting heavy, for sure!! Everything that I drop involves a major calculation about whether or not it is worth getting down to pick it up again.

This weekend we had about 16 hours of childbirth and baby-prep classes. We are both really, really excited and also completely terrified. The woman who went over the baby safety section managed to scare us about everything from grapes to latex balloons. It's a miracle that anyone from our generation is even alive! We are considering moving into a house made entirely of rubber, just to be sure. I was also able to see enough other bellies to know that it is indeed possible for me to get even bigger. It was actually the first time in a long time that I felt like I had a small belly. So many of the moms in our class were absolutely HUGE! We also got a tour of the hospital and got to see a few of the newborns. They were all asleep and looked so peaceful and absolutely adorable, makes it look easy.

Week 28!

Here we are at week 28, which happened on Saturday.
Hard to beleive there is still room to grow!
Had the anemia and gestational diabetes test with negative results.
So, no need to worry about those complications.
And, ever since Wednesday it's been non-stop activity.
I think a pre-Romper Room is occurring in my gut. I'm beginning to think that
this baby never sleeps. And, according to the baby book, the baby is beginning a
sleeping and activity pattern that it will follow when it's out of the womb.
So, apparently Kieran and I won't sleep at all, either, in a few months. Which is exactly what
we hear from other parents.
We are down to doctor visits every two weeks now and begin childbirth classes soon.
There is soooo much to learn.

Third Trimester!!

We are finally in the third trimester! And, winter arrives in New Jersey with a bang this week.
We were lucky enough to have some visitors to enjoy the belly this weekend! Luckily, they put up with the slower pace of things these days.

Baby likes to eat!

Just a shot of one of my most common activities these days...cooking and baking! Kieran is loving it!
