My first live soccer (football) match

This weekend was the New Brunswick, NJ "World Cup" in the park near our house, complete with spanish-only commentators and police on hand to help with parking. The game ended at 1-1 and so went to penalty kicks. Very high stakes and lots of drama among the fans. It was insane and soo much fun. Callum loved it and is now dedicated to the sport, so Papa is thrilled.

Reading with Mama!

This is Callum's favorite book. It amazes us but he usually sits still and looks at the pictures while we read it to him!

Trying out some grown-up food

A little bit of oatmeal was Callum's first try at food outside of breast milk. He's had lots of interest in Mama and Papa when they are eating and was moderately interested in the food we offered him. He thought it was lots of fun, however, playing with them as they tried to feed him!

Fall has arrived!

We are all talk and smiles as the cool, fall wind blows in.

I'm 4 months old!!

And I have lots of new tricks....screaming, squealing, and laughing out loud. Mom and dad are loving it. I'm also able to hold onto toys for long periods of time and can get a darn good grip on mama's hair!

Irelands New Star

We are very proud that Callum received his call-up to Ireland's Rugby World Cup squad. His recent upper body strength training has paid off, the coaches are really impressed that he put on 8lbs in the last 4 months through a strict high protein diet. There are concerns that some of the games will clash with his nap time, but otherwise he is raring to go and should bring a new dimension to the ageing Irish team.
