Sometimes it's the Mall

Sometimes, when you get a little taste of spring weather only to be hit with more cold weather a few days later you find yourself with two stir crazy boys that demand room to RUN and you find yourself saying "Let's Go To The Mall!" And, it turns out to be pretty fun to go to the mall, take some photos and enjoy coin-operating trucks. Who knew?

Aquarium.

We took a special trip to the aquarium this weekend and the boys LOVED IT! Mama and Papa had a mighty good time, as well. J was especially taken with the big hippos and solidly refused to leave the hippo exhibit. He kept saying "More Hippo" as we tried to woo him into the jellyfish section. So, he and Papa stayed with the hippos for a long while and he happily sat wide-eyed and open-mouthed. C was smitten with the various fish but a little scared of the sharks and alligators, even asking before bathtime, if their might be a shark in his bath! Yikes.

Let Me Explain.

A few things about this photo bear mentioning. For starters, this is our new shirt. It was a gift. It is a Manchester United shirt...Papa's FOOTBALL team for anyone who doesn't already know that. They both got one but Jude is the only one who INSISTS on wearing it if it isn't already in the dirty bin. How he is so aware of the emblem is beyond Mama's imagination. Papa insists that it derives from a genetic love of the game. Maybe.

Secondly, this is our new face. The monkey face. He can also make a monkey call to go with it. It's adorable. It is also not rare, in face we see this face around 100 times a day. The daycare staff have been asking, "What is he doing?" Ha! He is truly a little ham, this one.

We've Had Some Snow

...to say the least. It is at the point now that there is at least one morning every week that is a kind of guessing game, wondering whose school will be closed and whose workplace will have a delayed opening. The good news is that it is the perfect kind of snow (mostly) where a dump of snow comes and then the day warms up and it's perfect for packing snowballs and there are lots of snow drifts for diving into. We still haven't managed to convince Jude of the virtues of snow but he is slowly getting better. Callum, on the other hand, is sold.
