Housing Grand Opening

It is final! The housing project had its grand opening. A few pictures from the event.

Snow Day!

Enough snow fell this last Friday to make driving CRAZY and close down both mama and papa's work! I got to try out my fantastic new winter coat from Grandma Crowley. Don't I look handsome?!

Just Goofing Off, Showing Off My Cuteness

My first shiner

Along with increased mobility comes increased accidents. As we learned this week when Callum fell and hit his cheek! He took all of 2 minutes to get back to playing but Mama is permanently traumatized after the event.

The Beginning of the End

An exciting project is coming to a close. For the last year and a half our family has been involved in a project to build affordable housing for young women that are leaving the foster care system and would otherwise have no where to go. At only 18 years old! Mama has been a board member and Callum and Papa have tolerated lots of projects and shopping trips to get things ready. Well, this weekend was the big set up day and it looks amazing! The housing is above the administrative building of our church so it is right in the heart of town and the girls will have lots of mentors, nearby. Everything is brand, spanking new and we had lots of help from the community to pull it all together. Next weekend is the Grand Opening and in the coming weeks, the women will start moving in!

Our First (Real) Snow

We've had little bits here and there but nothing that really stuck to the ground like today's snowfall. It was pretty exciting for Callum to see the big snowflakes fall. But, he has a rough ear infection that is making it hard to be too excited. Instead, he's interested in hanging pretty close to Mama. Though, he still finds plenty of time to practice standing and taking tentative steps.

TEETH!!

Callum has an unbelievable six teeth and they are seriously grown-up looking. Dare I say, toddler-esque!

9 Months Old

The past nine months have been filled with inumerable milestones and magic moments, yet, something tells us that we have even greater leaps ahead. Holding himself up (and even pulling himself up) is Callum's latest trick. It requires constant attention becausee he still hasn't figured out to fall and falls like timber in the woods! No bending at all! We are also seeing alot more words and less of the stream of consciousness babble. His top NINE words (in the spirit of nine months of age) are, in order of popularity: ala; dada; nana; mama; baba; ana; agoo; lyder;adadadaradababamamananaalala (ok, sometimes there is still some babble)...
