Pumpkin Trip

Cal's preschool sponsored a trip to a local pumpkin patch (and farm). Of course, it was raining, only a mist really, but it was also about 40 degrees out. So, an all around, semi-miserable trip. Or, at least it would have been EXCEPT the trip to the farm was on a school bus. So, we were thrilled! Cal brought along a little plastic pig (about 1 inch tall) and would occasionally take pig out of his pocket and show him around. Other kids were asking to pet it and hold it and pig became a big hit. In all, a great trip on a great friday.

We Love Grandad, Grandma and Grandad's Sisters!!

We were blessed with a far too short visit from Betty and Mary as they cruised around on their whirlwind tour of the East Coast. They came all the way from Ireland and so were treated to the best of Callum's dancing, singing and book reading. Jude was all smiles and giggles, doing his best to charm the crowd.

Look at this guy!

What a big kid, right? The daycare days have started for our little guy. He's loving it so far. So many people to look at! So many people to charm with my smile! He loves it so much he doesn't want to nap for them. At six months old, all 19.5 pounds of baby is difficult to rock to sleep with all those other kids to distract him. The staff keeping saying, "I don't know how you guys do it!" to Mama and Papa.

Our Annual Apple Picking Adventure

"Come on Mama!"

On the way to the orchard,

in the middle of the orchard,
discussing the fresh air,
and, of course we need some pumpkins.

Some serious apple tasting.
Now, it's time to get cooking!

Sliding and Swinging

Oh how we love the new park in town! This is Jude's first time on the swing and his reaction was exactly the same as he usually has to something new...complete joy!

Cal was unstoppable running, leaping, climbing and sliding. This is his new hat that he can't be without even though he can't really see with it on.
