DayCare Days
Here are a few shots of Callum's time at daycare. They have put together a website with shots from every week. It's really nice to see, makes us feel like we know how his week went. In these shots he is with his friend Paige. He's known Paige for a LOOOONG time because Mama had prenatal yoga classes with Paige's mama.
The video didn't seem to work so we'll try again another time. Sorry to disappoint.

Can you hear me?
This is admittedly not the most exciting video in the world (no SAG award for Mama!) but I wanted to give a little sample of his new voice and try out this video uploading thing. The video is also, ahh, mostly sideways.
This week we got another tooth, on top. So, still have just the one bottom tooth. There is lots of drooling happening still so we are expecting a few more soon. Enjoy the show!

Forget Blocks, give me tupperware
Callum, who used to love blocks, has now moved on to the tupperware container that holds them...it's much more fun to play with. Who knew that toys could be so cheap! He also is the proud owner of two teeth. One on the bottom and one 'fang' on the top. His new word is 'dada', which means anything and everything and is really fun to repeat endlessly all day long.

Brooklyn Rocks and so does my Aunty Jeni and Uncle Joe
Delight and Focus
What could possibly delight and captivate these two boys so much, you might ask? And the answer is, FOOTBALL or Soccer for those American audiences. That's right, Callum is in early training for a love of the sport. And, seems to be working so far. These pictures also display a rarely seen trait of Callum's---HIS NECK! For anyone wondering, he does indeed have a neck beneath the folds and double chins. And, it is, adorable of course.

It's a wonderful new year
Callum is eight months old, believe it or not! He was lucky enough to spend his first day in 2008 with his biggest fan, Kayleigh. [She keeps reminding us that she will be taking a babysitting class (she is 8) and would love to babysit Callum. And, every time Callum glances her way or grabs for a toy she is holding she says, "Oh, he really likes me!" Between that and her impeccable manners we are seriously considering her babysitting offers.] As parents, Kieran and I are marvelling at the daily accomplishments and gamut of emotions from our little guy. Mellow would not describe him but fun certainly would.
