So Much for the City that Never Sleeps

On a whim, we took advantage of a sunny-but-not-too-hot day and went into New York to visit the Natural History Museum. Callum had a blast. He loved running around the open spaces, waving and blowing kisses to new friends, and dancing to any music that was playing.
We, of course, loved watching him. Have to say his joy was contagious and left us smiling ear to ear.
The most amazing part of the trip was that, at naptime, we settled into a shady, semi-quiet spot in Central Park and he fell asleep! For an hour and a half. Mama and Papa got to relax, read, and enjoy the people-watching while he dozed.
Poor little guy, he is doing so much walking, fast walking, bending, and learning that he just conks out! It's like he is at the gym all day long. He will sleep anywhere. (Papa also snuck in a little nap for himself.) Not a bad start to our August.
